The Genomics Training Academy (GTAC) is pleased to announce Collaborate: A Clinical Laboratory Education Initiative. Launching on Wednesday 6 November 2024 from 1pm–2pm, this monthly webinar series will enhance interprofessional collaboration among genomics professionals by addressing real clinical challenges.

Collaborate is held on the first Wednesday of each month and is open to the NHS specialist genomics workforce, including genetic counsellors, clinical geneticists and Genomic Laboratory Hub staff, at all career stages.

On 6 November, the first session is on the genomic testing options available for patients with high-grade serous ovarian cancer, including a case study of a patient referred for BRCA1/BRCA2 and homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) testing. Expert speakers will provide an overview of their role in the patient pathway, including the technical workflow, data processing, analysis, reporting and how the results directly influence treatment decisions. A recording will also be available for asynchronous access.
